MoFAST helps Missouri businesses and entrepreneurs compete for federal financing of technology research and product development as offered by SBIR and STTR by providing access to SBIR and STTR search services, assistance providers, information, sample proposals and networks via the MoFAST Gateway. Be sure to start your journey here!

The SBA's Office of Technology strengthens and expands the competitiveness of U. S. small high technology research and development businesses in the federal marketplace. They also assist in achieving the commercialization of the results of both the federal research and development programs mandated by the Small Business Innovation Development Act of 1982, the Small Business Research and Development Enhancement Act of 1992, and the Small Business Innovation Research Program Reauthorization Act of 2000.

The SBA's SBIR/STTR web site provides access to useful information and helpful tools including:
  • SBIR & STTR Program Descriptions
  • SBIR Awards or Statistics
  • SBIR Handbook for Proposal Preparation
  • SBIR Policy Directive
  • SBIR & STTR PowerPoint Overview

The National Science Foundation (NSF), the sponsor of this Website, is an independent U.S. Government agency responsible for promoting science and engineering. It invests over $3.3 billion per year in almost 20,000 research and education projects and sponsors national conferences to promote the SBIR/STTR program.

The SBIR Gateway is offered by Zyn Systems, a technology and management consulting firm specializing in Technology Transfer, Commercialization, Technology Outreach Programs and the development of Web-based management systems and e-business solutions.

In-Know-Vation On-Line is a great resource if you want to know more about SBIR & STTR program activity, about who (and what) is being funded by whom, and how to be SBIR-involved - as applicant, awardee, collaborator and/or service provider. They feature free, searchable databases of Phase I & II awards for every SBIR/STTR participating agency.
