William R. Sutterlin, Ph.D.

Dr. Sutterlin is the CEO of Renewable Alternatives, LLC and has experience leading multiple Phase I and Phase II projects. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Troy State University in August of 1995. Immediately after graduation he began employment at Avanti Polar Lipids Inc. of Birmingham, Alabama. After three years with Avanti Polar Lipids Inc., Dr. Sutterlin initiated his Ph.D. studies at the University of Missouri, Columbia in 1998.

Dr. Sutterlin has received teaching awards from the University of Missouri and has been a guest lecturer on numerous occasions for one of the fathers of Environmental Chemistry, Professor Stanley E. Manahan. Dr. Sutterlin has experience in laboratory management, and has served as a primary investigator for SBIR and STTR awards and an APPA/DEED award. Dr. Sutterlin has recently accepted a position as CEO of Renewable Alternatives, LLC. His background includes pertinent experience in chemical production, analysis and planning. As an analytical chemist, Dr. Sutterlin has the experience in trouble shooting, interpretation and method development with the following instrumentation: HPLC, LC/MS, GC/MS, AA, GFAA, GC/FID, NMR, FTIR, ES-MS, MS-MS, UV-Vis, DSC, TGA, and thermally controlled powder X-ray diffractometer.
